Durant la COP26, ce samedi 6 novembre est la journée internationale « des mobilisations de masse décentralisées à travers le monde, rassemblant des mouvements pour renforcer le pouvoir de changement du système, » indique la Coalition COP26.
Six ans après l’accord de Paris, à l’occasion de la COP26 qui se déroule à Glasgow jusqu’au 12 novembre, la ligne d’action, comme les éléments de communication des États sont : « maintenir la hausse des températures en dessous de la barre des 2°C, voire 1,5°C. » Une réalité qui a l’effet d’une abstraction qui n’impacte ni les industriels ni leurs consommateurs, et qui masque ce l’on pourrait commencer d’appeler : « un véritable crime climatique. »

Pour les membres de la Coalition COP26 : « les gouvernements n’ont pas fait grand-chose […] ils ont été de connivence avec les entreprises et se sont cachés derrière des « solutions » vertes qui n’existent pas. »
Nîmes le rendez-vous est donné à 14h00 Esplanade Charles De Gaulle pour une Marche pour le Climat. Tout le monde est invité à s’investir et à marcher pour le climat sur l’événement Facebook ou bien en contactant cplcnimes@gmail.com. Cette mobilisation est organisée par Citoyens pour le Climat Nîmes et Nîmes en Transition.
À 14h15 aura lieu une prise de parole commune, avant un départ de la Marche pour 14h30. Le Parcours est le suivant : Avenue Amiral Courbet, Rue Crémieux, Rue Général Perrier, Boulevard Victor Hugo avec une belle surprise, selon les organisateurs avant un retour sur l’Esplanade.
EELV Nîmes participe à cette mobilisation : « il est temps de prendre notre destin en main, individuellement et collectivement, et d’exiger de nos dirigeants qu’ils se montrent à la hauteur du défi qui nous attend toutes et tous ; limiter le réchauffement et le dérèglement climatique, » indique Sibylle Jannekeyn, secrétaire locale EELV.
